Open Data includes publicly accessible data sets that can give you a more or less precise indication of how many such cars are registered. Additional data or more detailed analysis may be available as a fee-based service.
FEDRO will not reveal owners‘ names or addresses or vehicle frame numbers. Neither can it provide reliable information about the number of unregistered vehicles of this model in Switzerland, or historical data about the number of cars registered in the
past.
FEDRO publishes the master numbers for all vehicles that received initial registration in Switzerland in the current year (part of Open Data). This information is used in connection with the the CO2 fee.
A fee-based service allows access to a standard data set that matches number plates to vehicle type information. This requires a registered user account. Owners‘ names or addresses are never provided.
Some of the datasets are available to the public (Open Data). This includes raw data on the number of vehicles in circulation, new vehicle registrations, and vehicle types.
